#MOVIEREVIEW – #JAGGA JASOOS – (2017)

Today I am here again with the review of one of the movie released this Friday i.e. JAGGA JASOOS (2017), an Anurag Basu’s film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif,  Saswata Chatterjee and Saurabh Shukla in lead roles.  

PLOT:

The present movie is a story of an orphan child Jagga living in a hospital and he stutter while speaking. A man, who with a broken leg who introduced himself as Tooti Footi, adopted Jagga and take him to his place. After few months, he admitted him in the Boarding School and disappeared mysteriously. Jagga grew up in the Boarding School solving cases of police but the real story lies in suspense where Jagga’s father go??

ANALYSIS:

The movie has a unique concept showing father son bond and many more things to look out be it picturesque landscapes, poetic dialogues of Ranbir Kapoor, funny accident prone Katrina Kaif or the secret mission of Professor Bagchi. A great camera work and nice music by Pritam. Rhyme #Nimbu #Mirchi by Katrina Kaif is a good one about the situation  of the society. 

But the movie was bit lengthy and some scenes need to be removed. The movie look like a marathon race where athletes are running from the word go till the finishing line. The viewer is all time confused about the location of the movie. Overall the movie really looked like a real comic book story.

What’s Good:

Fresh and interesting concept with a powerpack performance by Ranbir Kapoor. 

Loop holes in the movie:

The movie is a bit lengthy and not well presented. 

Star Peformance:- 

Ranbir Kapoor once again proved that he is a class actor. As Jagga Jasoos he has given a breathtaking performance. Katrina Kaif also does her best as a school teacher narrating the story of Jagga Jasoos. Sawasta Chaterjee as Professor Bagchi is excellent and Saurabh Shukla played his negative character with perfection.

Final words:

Fresh and interesting concept and a stellar performance by Ranbir Kapoor. Loved it....

My ratings for this movie is 2.5 out of 5 stars.
