#MovieReview
#Raabta (2017)
Today we
are here with the review of one of the movie released this week namely RAABTA
(2017) starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Sanon, Jim Sarbh, Rajkumar Rao
& Varun Sharma in lead roles. Movie is directed by debutant director Dinesh Vijan.
PLOT:
Lover boy
(Sushant), who went to Budapest through his bank accidently met Saira (Kriti
Sanon) in her Chocolate shop, when he was on date with some other girl and he
falls for Saira there only. They quickly falls in love with each other (Befikre
types).
Then the
third character Zakir Merchant (Jim Sarbh), a liquor barron came in their life
and kidnaps Saira and take her to his private island as he loves her. Then Saira starts thinking about her bond with
Shiv seems beyond the limitations of time and decades and then in her dreams we
are taken past to these three characters when the warrior falls in love with the brave princess. But is the
connection between all these lies in the movie.
ANALYSIS:
Lovely
looking couple of Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon looked good together but
there is hardly any chemistry. From the opening scene itself Sushant failed to
impress us with his uncomfortable Punjabi ascent dialogues. I don’t know why
the hell filmmaker let him speak Punjabi when he was uncomfortable.
One more
thing which kept bothering me is that till when bollywood filmmakers will go on
with playboy type characters of lead males and what point they want to prove in
front of the youths of the country. Overall I can say that there is nothing
wrong in the story of Punarjanam but
problem is with execution. Warrior version of the movie looked good to me.
WHAT’S
GOOD:
Warrior look of Sushant Singh Rajput
and may be one or two songs.
NOT GOOD:
Bad
execution of story and loosely written dialogues.
STAR
PERFORMANCES:
One of the weakest of all performances of Sushant
Singh Rajput till date. He fumbled with Punjabi. He doesn’t looked good doing
humour. Kriti looked cute but failed to impress with her acting. The intense
look of Jim Sarbh is good but his poorly written character and dialogues are
pathetic. VArun Sharma is a good support. Raj Kumar Rao was really not
recongizable.
FINAL
WORDS:
Not like Sushant’s earlier movies but u you bear it....
My
ratings for this movie is 1.8 out of 5 stars.
So keep
following the page, good day till the next review
